Northumberland Sunrise Club’s delightful suggestions for feeding fathers locally June 16

Following on the heels of its successful Mother’s Day Brunch in a Box fundraiser, the Rotary Club of Northumberland Sunrise is excited to share details of its plans to celebrate Father’s Day. 

The Club has teamed up with five local businesses to offer a special “Dad Box.” Between now and June 16 the community can place an order and treat the special men in their lives to any of the following: 

Foodland (Cobourg) – “Sizzle Yourself” 

Stop by the store to pick up steaks for a family of 4, 4 baking potatoes, fresh mushrooms, onion, and a dozen chocolate chip cookies. This package is great for those who love to grill. 

Osland Farm Market (Port Hope) – “DIY BBQ” 

4 pack 6oz. beef patties, pack of smoked bacon, 1 dozen eggs, cheese, lettuce, 2 tomatoes, cucumber, onions, pepper, 1 (4) pack of sausages of choice 

Santorini Restaurant (Port Hope) – “Greek Sampler” 

2 lamb chops, 1 Greek sausage, 1 Souvlaki, 1 Pastitsio (Greek lasagna pasta, bechamel sauce and ground beef in layers) rice and vegetables. 

Millstone Bakery (Cobourg) – Sweet & Savoury 

Small carrot cake, 6 cookies, 6 bars/squares, 6 x 4 dessert pan, 2 sausage rolls, 6 rolls/buns. 

Ketch’s Korner (Cobourg) – “BBQ prepared FOR you.” 

BBQ Brisket, BBQ chicken, pulled port, parm potatoes, Mac N Cheese, beans, and corn-on-the-cob. 

Each box is $75 and has enough food to feed multiple people. This also includes a $25 donation to support Sunrise Rotary. Funds raised will allow the Club to fund its commitments to community organizations.
