You are getting great water!
Recent inspections conducted by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) of all four of the water systems managed and operated by Lakefront Utility Services Inc. (LUSI) were given two thumbs up. The Cobourg, Grafton and Colborne water systems, along with portions of the Township of Hamilton water distribution system managed by Lakefront Utility Services Inc., all received a final rating of 100% during their most recent Drinking Water System Inspection Reports. This latest round of perfect scores adds to LUSI’s long history of surpassing industry standards for the water systems managed by Lakefront Utility Services Inc.
Water system operations in Ontario are governed by provincial regulations and by the terms and conditions prescribed in Drinking Water Works Permits and Municipal Drinking Water Licences which are issued by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.
The rigorous annual inspections are to ensure that LUSI is operating the water systems in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. The MECP utilized a comprehensive, multi-barrier approach in the inspection of the water systems that focused on the source, treatment and distribution components as well as management practices.
“Lakefront is proud that our staff’s dedication and commitment to continual improvement in all aspects of the operation and management of these drinking water systems, has resulted in the highest achievable scoring,” said Shawn Bolender, Manager of Water Operations at Lakefront Utility Services Inc.
Lakefront Utility Services Inc. is proud to continue to exceed provincial drinking water standards.
