Student Transportation Services of Central Ontario Posts Bus Routes Lacking Drivers

Northumberland – Two days into the school year, in the middle of a pandemic, a bus driver shortage is creating problems for transportation of students. It is reported to be happening throughout the province.
The Student Transportation Services of Central Ontario (STSCO) posted a bulletin on their website that they have been informed that due to an area bus driver shortage, First Student bus line has to cancel a number of school bus routes for both morning and afternoon on Mon., Sept. 14, 2020.

A further update will be provided by 4:00 p.m., Mon., Sept. 14 on the status of route operation for Tues.,, Sept. 15.
In the bulletin STSCO apologises for this service cancellation. All families in STSCO’s area are encouraged to visit the STSCO website regularly for the most up to date information on route delays and cancellations.
