Peterborough – From anxiety and stress to difficult emotions and a world that never seems to stop moving, taking care of your mental health has never been more important. To start off Mental Health Awareness Week, Kawartha Pine Ridge ETFO and Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board would like to invite you to a free event.
On Saturday, September 29th Nova Browning Rutherford, mindfulness facilitator, life coach and wellness expert (CTV’s The Social and CityTV’s Breakfast Television), will be providing an afternoon talk focusing on mental health, self-care and empowerment that is open to all community members, parents, and educators.
“We all have a desire to ensure our public education system and schools are the best they can be,” said Shirley Bell, ETFO local president.
“We would like to invite everyone interested to join us in learning more about how to take care their own mental wellness and that of those around us.”
This presentation has been organized by the Kawartha Pine Ridge Elementary Teachers Local and District School Board in conjunction with the OSSTF District 14.
